Animals seem to enjoy receiving Reiki and sense immediately that something special is being given to them by human hands. When an animal is feeling well they may reject the energy completely and walk away however if they are ill they will accept.

Cats are particularly aware of Reiki energy but they have an attitude about it, dogs are more laid back; Reiki energy tickles them.

 

Reiki can be beneficial for animals that have undergone an operation by speeding up the recovery considerably. If an animal is unable to be touched, Distant Healing can also be used.
